What are white label services?
White labelling is when a product or service is constructed by one company and authorised accessed to be used by another company. This usually for a fee, however this is not always the case. They are specifically targeted to be used by third parties or markets.
Why would you use a white label service?
An example of white labelling in products is when a clothing business such as pretty little thing, uses other companies that also sell clothes to sell their products, however they remove the other companies label and put their own. This is easier than making all of their own products and then selling them. Another common example of where white label services is used is in software. Software is rebranded as it would require a lot of companies with no technical or software background to have to learn, which takes too long.
Why use white labelling in payroll?
In payroll, white labels are often needed when outsourcing payroll. If you use an outsourced payroll service, they most likely use white labelling in processing your payroll. At A2Z Payroll ltd, we use white label to hide our companies logo and insert your companies and send your employee payslips directly to them, without them knowing you actually used our company to process the payroll. This service is much more effective and accurate than us sending you the processed payslips and you having to insert your logo and email into every payslip.
Is it worth it?
If you believe in the product or service, you are white labelling, it will prove worth it to you, as the capital return will profit you. However, if the product or service you are white labelling is of poor quality it is of no use to anyone. Additionally, if you are in need of the product/service that is being white labelled then it will be worth it, as it can save you time and money. For example, in payroll, you can say goodbye to the hassle in dealing with payslips and RTI’s, if you outsource your payroll everything is taken care for you.
